Installation of the 300 Hz Roofing Filter
Read the original Yaesu FTdx5000 Operating Manual page 140:
"Installation of the optional Roofing Filiter (XF-126CN)"
Remove the top cover of the transceiver.
This is the metal plate on the right side of the transceiver.
Remove the three screws affixing the metal plate.
Position the filter so that its connectors are alligned with the mounting pins on the board,
and push it into place.
MARS modification
Do this at your own risk and act according your license!
Remove both the top and bottom covers
On the left side you see the CTRL-unit
You don't need to remove the CTRL-unit or any cable!
Above the CTRL-unit left from the three flatcables there are three little wires;
just move them a little bit to the right to give some space to do the mod safely without touching the wires with your soldering iron
Notice JP45 05
Just solder the bridge between the two islands of 05.
That's all!
Close the transceiver.
